I started my entrepreneurial journey in 2014 when I started my first online BST business. I later got introduced to a lifestyle brand called Chloe + Isabel where I started in sales and quickly promoted to a Merchandising Manager within 8 months. I learned a lot about marketing and even more about leadership. I became the #1 sales woman on my sales team and eventually lead my own sales team of 50 women who I taught social media marketing strategies, e-commerce tools and social retailing. I did this all while being a 9-5er at the County of Ventura — Resource Management Agency where I served as the Senior Natural Resources Planner.

In 2016, after my son experienced severe health issues, I made the leap and ditched the 9-5. It wasn’t long before I landed my first client. Now, at ejma, we tailor our services to start-ups and emerging industries, which makes my agency a solution-based, high functioning, dynamic company. With both private and municipal clients, we have projects from ordinance writing to large industrial complexes. From permitting to construction, we manage each of our projects using the ejma comprehensive and efficient project management model.

I still run my business much like my sales team. I support and encourage my teamsters to embrace their entrepreneurial sprit and provide a flexible schedule to allow them to fuel their passions. I understand that ejma Planning + Development will be a final destination for some and a Launchpad for others—and we have a company culture that celebrates everyone’s unique journey.
